How We Do It.
Utilizing our proprietary software and state-of-the art digital signal processor technology, InteraPower controllers sample motor performance 20,000 times per second to deliver optimum voltage to the motor for a given load condition. By dynamically monitoring the motor, IntegraPower eliminates wasted energy and in turn saves money. Depending on the application, InteraPower can reduce energy consumption by 10%-35%.
In addition, InteraPower’s soft start/stop feature reduces wear and tear on your motors and other equipment by eliminating hard starts. InteraPower can also be used as an economical replacement for traditional mechanical contactors and other motor control products.
How InteraPower works:
1. Measures the phase angle between the current and the voltage.
2. The embedded digital signal processor (DSP) calculates the displacement power factor, which is a function of the mechanical load.
3. The controller utilizes this data to optimize the RMS voltage supplied to the motor by appropriately modulating series SCR switches.
4. The process is continuously repeated to ensure minimum energy consumption and maximum motor performance under changing load conditions
